Josep Barberà (1877-1947)

foto josep barberà He studied with Felip Pedrell at the Liceo Conservatory in Barcelona, where he was later professor of composition and orchestration and director (1931-1938). He made several studies about folk music. He engaged in disseminating theoretical issues among the general public publishing a course of melody and, interested in the musical education of his time, a Treaty of harmony and Cuatro lecciones de alta teoría musical.
